A Trappist Single is a style of beer from the Trappist monestaries out of Belgium. Originally made from the second runnings of a larger beer; the single was primarily only for the monk's enjoyment. Today there are only a few trappist singles out there for commercial enjoyment. With Strange Brew's Trappist Single kit you can get all the flavors the monks get without working in a monestary. Pouring a light gold, this beer has a light and effervescent mouthfeel with a sweet honey flavor. This extract kit includes malt extract, specialty grains (crushed for your convenience), hops, yeast, canned pumpkin, spices, and even priming sugar and bottle caps.
